If I had three wishes...

While listening to Genie in a Bottle by Cristina Aguilera, I was deep in thought about a wise decision of three wishes. I'm an 11:11 believer, since every night at 11:11, I make a wish, wishing that it'll come true, which most of the time, they do, since not all of them are complicated or seemingly impossible. The 11:11 in the morning, I hardly catch during weekdays since my mind is occupied in school and sometimes I tend to zone out to the robotic voice of my teacher as my mind slips away into reviewing the material on my own. If I had three wishes..

My first wish would to be a successful person in life, an all around, or better than what I am now, a jack of all trades, since I can do many things, but really accomplish nothing big, since I don't feel like I have that one specific talent yet. With this wish come true, I can use my talents to help others in need, including those around me and the people in third world countries. All my life, I've dreamed of going out into the world as a medical missionary or working with a medical team to help the unfortunate people out there receive the medical attention they need. It hurts me to see pain and suffering, but as many will come to see, if you sacrifice a bit of your time to love and care for another, the world around you shifts into one filled with love that blossoms from your heart and wraps around those around you. Along with helping the people outside, I would help some of my family members as well, who I hardly even know since I was born in the US and never really had the chance to visit them. Having the chance to bring them here where I can put some money to take care of them and pour my love out on them would be an amazing experiences for me, since it would be like a dream come true just to have one big loving family all together and united at last.

Second, I would wish for a better economy, since unemployment rates in the Untied States are so high and it saddens me to see a homeless person standing on the streets every now and then, holding their sign and sometimes a baby, to ask for food and money. Since it is so hard to know whether it's a con or someone who's really in need, it is wise to just buy a box of granola bars and water bottles, some you can offer them one or both. I wish to see more jobs being created, and the US economy flourish and prosper.

Third, I wish for cures to all diseases out there. Seeing and hearing everyday of how hard scientists work to research cures for cancer inspires me so much, as well as another strange diseases. A healthy beautiful world is one I dream of daily, since there were some members of mine that have passed away due to cancer or currently diagnosed with cancer, and some of them which I wasn't able to say a proper farewell too. A friend of mine, only eighteen years of age, had recently lost both of her parents to cancer. I honestly pray everyday for the people out there whose family members or they themselves are diagnosed with some rare disease.

My wishes come from my heart, and from what I've seen and heard from my surroundings. A Utopia now may sound impossible, but it's something that many of us dream and wish for. Although to have one may seem nearly impossible, starting off small by helping those around you is taking that single step up the ladder to building a more healthier world. Our dreams, goals, and wishes make a big difference if we all step up to do something about it.
