The Hobbit

The Hobbit, a terrific book, a terrific movie. That is all I can really say. When I first picked up The Hobbit as a fun reading book, I was bored out of my mind. Honestly, the beginnings of the majority great series sometimes bore me out of my mind, but once I get past the first two or three pages of endless introductions and family history, everything just flows right off the page, surrounds me like a magic bubble, and takes me away on incredible adventures with the protagonist. I hear every cry and thought, as well do I see every little thing that is going on around me, despite the endless events occurring at the same time. In this case, I am the invisible shadow of a young hobbit named Bilbo, who is introduced to the dwarves as a little burglar. I feel his worries and anxiety as I trail behind him and my heart jumps ten feet higher than his when he encounters the scheming Gollum.

I read the book eight months ago, and for eight long months, I have been waiting for it to come out in theaters. Finally, at the eight o' clock showing at Bella Terra last night was I finally able to enjoy myself with a friend and my younger brother as we sat down excitedly and waited for The Hobbit to start. When it started it was amazing. I loved how they used flashbacks to introduce Bilbo's life story. It was obvious to see how Bilbo's personality is reflected through Frodo's. Ahhh, a Lord of the Ring's marathon sounds perfect right now.

The sound effects were amazing as always. I love the choice of background music, which sounds the same for all four movies, but it calms you down once second and has you jumping up from your seat for more. The costumes are never a disappointment. Every step, every word was acted out perfectly in my eyes. The Hobbit really got me pumped and excited. I loved it so much and you should definitely watch it to feel how I feel! :) There was even this guy whose facebook status said "I never watched any of the Lord of the Rings movies, but after watching The Hobbit, I have to go watch the rest." And I agree! The Hobbit was amazing, go watch it and you'll see! :)

11:11

I am a firm believer in 11:11, whether it be during the afternoon, which is usually just three minutes until the end of my third period class, or just forty-nine minutes before midnight. It's one of the few specific times I look forward to daily in my life besides 2:50pm when I get out of school or 10:00am when church service starts. Once the minute hand reaches the eleventh tick, or the minute goes up and turns eleven, I automatically close my eyes and make a wish, wherever I may be, regardless of what I might be doing or where I might be at the moment.

It's an automatic reflex.

Most of my wishes do come true, especially the ones during the day, simple ones that just pop into my mind in an instant. They are usually made for me, not to be selfish or anything. The wishes I make at night though, I go into more depth and thought, and usually wish the same thing three or more days in a row. Those wishes are set aside mainly for love ones.

Sometimes I make a ton of wishes, thinking one after another, fearing that I would forget something important. This isn't often though since I have two chances a day to make a wish or two different ones. Wishes do come true, especially the ones that are intended for positive purposes. Before or after I make a wish, I sometimes think of Snow White singing "I'm wishing (I'm wishing), for the one I love (for the one I love), to find me (to find me), today (today)." No, I do not recall ever wishing for my future prince to come find me, sweep me up into his arms, and carry me away. Maybe when college rolls along. Also, who could ever forget that "the most fantastic, magical things can happen, and it all starts with a wish." as said by Jiminy Cricket.

It doesn't hurt to make a wish, so make one, two, three or more. 11:11 doesn't have to be the time for you, it could be anytime. But in my case, it is just the right time for me. 11:11, make a wish. <3

The Day After the Day The World "Was Suppose to End"

December 22, 2012

We woke up today, didn't we? That's how we're able to read each other's blogs, go out with our friends and family. We woke up. This proves that no one really knows when the world really ends and that they should not take advantage of rumors to do harmful things to others. You would think that if the world was ending, you would live your life to the fullest, with the people you love and the things you enjoy. Maybe go out and patch those broken relationships. Even though the world didn't end, your life, your time spent with your love ones and renewing sore relationships was well worth-it. Many of us chose to do so, while a small number of others chose not.

Today was a beautiful day. I woke up a bit cold, but I was alive, and ready to go out and have some fun. I first went to a surprise birthday party for my friend Danvi and her brother Andi in Anaheim Hills. The house was packed with excited friends and family, over sixty of us, all excited to see their faces when they arrived and saw what was waiting for them inside. The party was great, with delicious tacos, especially the ones with pork and the typical but delicious Asian meal, korean bbq. Mmm. Talk about delicious and a food baby to show off. Well, everyone had one so it wasn't a bid deal. I doubt that anyone had less than six tacos and two pieces of korean bbq, it was just too good.

Next things next, I knocked out on the way back to church. Just fell asleep. Personally, I'm like a baby, when I'm tired, I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime, anyplace. Woke up when I arrived but I fell asleep again on a comfortable chair once I got there. When I woke up, I was like a fully charged battery, ready to perform and work until I run low again, which would probably be nine hours later, in this case. At church, the youth group grouped up and we all sang some Christmas songs, had a mini sermon, and ate some subway. I won a starbucks card, haha. Yay for me! :)

Later, after we all put on our elf and santa hats, we drove a few minutes over to a nearby senior home, where we were able to interact with an adorable group of seniors who were just as thrilled and pumped as we were to embrace and spread the Christmas love and cheer. We brought more than enough dessert for anyone to enjoy and had fun play Christmas charades and caroling together as one big cheerful community. There was a senior there named Bill who had some interesting stories to tell, some short ones from serving in World War II and others describing what life in California was like just forty years ago. So much has changed and everything that was once just vast empty land had bloomed into beautiful cities. It was a great experience for me, reaching out to all those seniors within the community, and it really warmed my heart to see them all smiling and laughing throughout the night.

December 22, 2012 was a day well spent for me. I had a wonderful day filled with laughter and joy, as I walk along the path with love and joy filled in my heart to the beautiful Christmas Day.

Christmas, my child, is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it's Christmas.

Whacked up Wednesday

The 2012 Victoria's Secret  fashion show last night. Taylor Lautner resembles a llama. Scream & Shout by Will. I. Am. & Brittany Spears. My Wednesday.

First things first. The Victoria's Secret show last night was amazing! Talk about the most beautiful models strutting their stuff. I absolutely love watching the VS fashions shows, it just gets more creative and crazier each year. The VS models, especially the angels, they're so gorgeous with looks and personality. I love how they show their personalities on the set, making silly faces, sticking out their tongues and their pure laughter that's neither faked nor forced.  Also, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars had incredible performances, especially Rihanna. In my opinion, she probably had the best performance of the three. Justin, it was so funny watching him freak out with the presence of all these beautiful ladies, but hey, who wouldn't? Bruno Mars and his band had a great show. Everything flowed just perfectly to me. The atmosphere was lively, tense, and filled with excitement by the models fan girling over Bieber, the rush that's always there to get the makeup, clothes, and models ready, and the pumped up audience ready to see the long waited annual fashion show. Can't wait till next year! <3

Who would ever get the ridiculous idea to compare Taylor Lautner to a llama? These days people would do anything, haha. But seriously, he doesn't even look like a llama, I just don't see it. All I see is a face of a fierce and famous icon. I do see other celebrity resemblances though. Like:

And

But as of now, I do not see a resemblance between Taylor Lautner. I'm not convinced but bothered by this stupidity.

Music, oh how I love Brittany Spears and Will. I. Am. Will. I. Am. has been amazing this year, first there's his song This is Love and now there's Scream & Shout. Talk about hit after hit, home run after home, for  Will. I. Am. Brittany Spears, I've been listening to her music since I was in kindergarten, a long way back. Her songs are constantly being played around on my Pandora channel, Ipod, and in the restroom when I sing in the shower. These two did a great job, I just love the song. The choreography is thrilling to me as well. Real talent right here. Right now. This song is such a hit. You don't have to be in a club to turn this song up. Love, love, love. <3
