Pink for October

As many of you may know, October is the month where we try to raise breast cancer awareness. Did you know that about every 1 in 8 women develop breast cancer over the course of her lifetime in the US? Statistics say that 226,870 women are currently diagnosed with breast cancer as of 2012, and sadly, 39,510 might die from it. Men are at risk too, although their risks are lower with only 1 in a 1,000. Show your way of raising breast cancer awareness by dedicating a picture, a project, whatever it may be to raising breast cancer awareness. Some examples may be a school dress up day where everyone wears pink, dedicating a blog or picture on a social website, or working with the pink ribbon club at your school.  It means a lot of those who know a person who's diagnosed with breast cancer.
